Well, welcome to a new year! I hope that everyone had a fun and safe New Years Eve. Mine wasn’t too crazy. Just had some drinks and food and watched the Rockin’ Eve show from New York.
I think that my only new years resolution is to be in Times Square in New York City for next year’s New Years Eve celebration. It’s been on my bucket list for a lot of years now and I figure, why not?? Why not go next year? I want to experience the party. And New York City is my dream city so I want to go there anyway.
Other than not, I have given up on making new years resolutions. Everything goes well for the first week or so and then life gets in the way and I never stick to resolutions. Instead of making them, why don’t we all just make goals that are attainable and measurable for ourselves? Instead of saying I want to be more active, which is pretty vague, why not say I am going to walk for half an hour every day. And make a schedule that you can easily stick to. Making goals that you can measure, instead of just buying a gym membership, will make achieving these goals easier.
Do you make new years resolutions? What are they? I’m always looking for inspiration!
2014 was an amazing year of college, new friends, a new tattoo or two, spending time with family and my pony, an amazingly fun trip to California and Vegas, celebrating my birthday a few weeks ago with some of the best friends anyone could have, and lots of other good things. The highlight of my year was attending the Moebius Syndrome Conference in July. Getting to see all of my Moebius friends and feeling so completely free to be me is so liberating. No one knows me or my challenges pertaining to Moebius more than they do. I cannot wait to see everyone again in 2016!
So here we are in a new year. 2014 was great, but 2015 is going to be the best yet. It’s my graduation year and it is going to hold so many opportunities and life changes, hopefully all in a good way!
Here’s to an amazing 2015 for you all, filled with love, joy and happiness!
Let’s make it great!
